Love…

…something so charming and wholesome. Yet dangerous and harmful. Sometimes defined. Sometimes undefined. Visible. Or invisible. It can be physical yet there are times when you can’t feel itIt’s something we often have a hard time expressing.But you always know when it’s around. Love is a force in the things we do. Big and small. Minimal to the most important. Love has the power to grow and build. But also to destroy and dismantle. Love is essential, but it’s not always healthy. Especially love for others. When we learn how to love ourselves first, we learn what healthy love for others really is.  You’ll know what love is when your heart tells you it’s around. It’s not something you can force.  It’s something that can bring out the very best or the very worst. Which? It’ll never tell you which comes first. But It’s something that’s always gonna find us — whether we like it or not. All we can do is give it our best shot. When it comes to loving others it’s simple yet complex. We’re not always going to understand each other. But we can do our very best. Love has its way of taking care of the rest.

Yeah… I know I quoted two TV shows on Disney+ but they are really good quotes and have given me a deeper understanding and unique perspective of Love. Love  can be whatever we want it to be. But sometimes it's not; sometimes it’s exactly what we need it to be. It’s a singular word that holds so much power.  This quote [also from a TV show (Ted Lasso)] is the realest thing I’ve ever heard about love…

Life is way too short to settle for fine. You deserve all the love and happiness that you believe you are worthy of. There are times where we don’t feel like we are worthy of any of it and that’s okay. Just remember it isn’t true because that’s when you are the most worthy of it. Love can not be measured. You can try, but it just can’t. Love makes fools out of everyone. But better to have been an honest fool than a quiet one..
